]]> HTC noemt de Leo vooralsnog een smartphone, maar de specificaties zeggen ons dat het meer een smartbook is. Deze conclusie wordt ook ondersteunt door het feit dat de HTC leo gebruik maakt van een Snapdragon chip. Dit is een processor op basis van de ARM architectuur en wordt door Qualcomm op de markt gebracht. Deze processor komt officieel over twee maanden uit en is de basis voor de smartbook apparaten die ARM voorziet. Smartbooks zijn in feite grote iPhones die meer dan acht uur batterij hebben tijdens gebruik en tevens binnen 5 seconden op het internet zijn nadat je ze opstart.

HTC Leo smartbook

Wanneer de lancering zal zijn is officieel nog niet bekend. Dat men bij HTC dit voor het Kerstseizoen op de markt wil hebben, lijkt logisch. We komen erop terug als er meer informatie beschikbaar komt.
